ALWAYS SOMETHING TO BE THANKFUL FOR

I'm a week late on posts, and writing this in the midst of a heavy Thanksgiving food coma. I hope everyone had an amazing holiday--mine was full of laughs and wine and biscuits, so pretty much perfect.

Pre-festivities, we headed to Spring Lake in an attempt to shoot some Christmas card photos, and I thought I'd sneak in some blog shots while we were there! The view was gorgeous, can you blame me?

And of course, no card would be complete without some pics with my most beautiful sister, Poppy!

We decided to do our outfits based on a tan-suede-and-black combination to match the leaves, and I like that we looked festive and autumnal without being over-the-top cheesy. Everything I'm wearing is old, but I tried to search for some similar pieces to include! My cropped sweater is from Express, but Topshop has a super similar cropped knit out now. I got this skirt last summer on sale from Free People, but suede skirts are everywhere right now, and I'm loving this, this and this as adorable alternatives.

So over-the-knee boots have been big for a while now, but the Steve Madden pair I had last year were so. painful. This year I found some by Chinese Laundry that are as comfy as they are cute.

Hope everyone's holiday was one for the books. Here's to the transition from autumn to Christmastime!
