POCKETS FULL OF SUNSHINE

I don't know if you've noticed, but it's already August. As in, summer is winding down. As in, I should probably stop buying so many summer clothes. However, I've really been embracing a brighter look this summer, so even though my sunburn is a bit peel-y and my hair could use a wash, I decided to present you with a cute summertime OOTD.

This outfit is SO easy breezy and cute—and please don't get me started on the color. You already know my thoughts on yellow: it's amazing, perfect, sunshine in a shade, for obvious reasons. I went shopping at a local boutique this week and had to pick up this amazing pair of palazzo pants; they're a little long in these pics, but trust that I went to get them hemmed immediately after!

I picked up these pants at a boutique by my house, but they sell them on Fashion Nova in both this marigold shade and black (picking up the black ASAP!) This palazzo style of pant has been everywhere this summer, so I'm sure you can find a similar look just about anywhere, assuming you don't already have ten pairs in your closet like me.

I kept things simple beyond the pants with a flowy, sleeveless crop top in white (similar version with straps here). I love this look because I felt super dressed up, but everything was so relaxed in fit that I could've sworn I was rocking pajamas.

If you're curious, my lip color is a mixture of two Kylie Cosmetics shades: Ginger as a base with a bit of Dirty Peach!

You can hardly see them in the pics, but I also had on my go-to tan block heels from Aerosoles, this bangle bracelet, a simple gold chain I thrifted from a vintage shop this weekend, and a pair of statement earrings. I've been addicted to picking up fun earrings this summer! This pair is on loan from my sister, Morgan, and I love that they're a crazy look but a really neutral shade. Lots of brands are selling ornate earrings like these for tons of money, but I think boutiques often have the best and most unique varieties, along with cheaper stores like Francesca's that aren't afraid to get a little wild with color and shape (exhibits A, B, and C!). I also recommend scrolling through BaubleBar for some extremely unique earrings that are worth the price!

Here's to making the most of my summer OOTDs while I still have the chance!
