LACED UP, DRESSED DOWN

Here in DC, we are experiencing some extremely warm weather, and while it's a welcome change from the cold, figuring out what to wear is becoming a struggle. Far from flip flop weather but even farther from parka season, what's a girl do to?

For today's look, I decided to embrace the sunshine and rock some brighter colors. Granted, there were moments when I felt the urge to throw on something, anything black, but it felt pretty invigorating to swap out my dark skinnies for something brighter. They don't have this color in stock at the moment, but these jeans from American Eagle are some of my very favorites.

Up top, I decided to keep things simple with a clean blouse featuring some very on trend lace-up detailing. Before I snagged this shirt from Forever 21 (similar here), I assumed the lace-up look was only for nighttime, but now I'm sold on the statement as a daytime essential as well.

Similar sunnies here and here. Also - thoughts on wristwatch stacking?

Gave it a go with my black MK watch and a simple silver Michelle and I'm kinda all about it.

I kept things casual on the bottom with my new favorite sneakers by Sam Edelman. I chose to snag these instead of the over-popularized Adidas Superstars last month, and I'm definitely happy with my choice. The stripe of snakeskin gives any outfit a little more glam, and they're as comfy as can be.

Wearing some lighter colors and embracing the warm weather certainly left me with a sunnier disposition. Get it?

That was really cheesy, but I really love this look, so I'm going to let it slide.
