BACK & WHITE & RED ALL OVER

Hey, so I'm proud to announce that after six months of living in New York City, I've finally made it to Brooklyn! When I heard that the Brooklyn Museum had the David Bowie exhibit from the V&A, I grabbed my mom and we headed over to see for ourselves. Of course, a day in a new space is also the perfect opportunity for a photoshoot, hence this post. It was a gorgeous, sunny day—so sunny, in fact, that this post is quite literally just five images of me looking down. My favorite.

Last week I went on a serious shopping spree, and the outcome was maybe 5-8 new gorgeous blouses, all brightly printed and fun. This particular spotted pick, featuring a tie detail and covered buttons, is tragically sold out (I know how to pick em!), but I couldn't resist wearing it today anyway. If you like the vibe, I really recommend checking out the rest of the Bardot brand sold at Lord & Taylor and other retailers. Most of my new tops are by them, so you'll be seeing me link them quite a bit in the near future! Until then, here, here and here are some similar spotty tops—and please note that Ariana Grande stole my look, and is rocking a white dress with similar black spots in her new music video. Flattered, but annoyed (joking).

I've always secretly wanted to be a jewelry girl, but I'm so bad at remembering to put small accessories on before I leave the house! I recently picked up these awesome tiered red and pink earrings from Bershka (available in green too!), and they were the perfect addition to an otherwise black and white outfit. If you're doing a simple makeup look like I am here, an earring is a fun way to make a statement that draws the eye towards the face.

If you're wondering where I wore this little number, we went to Juliette, the most gorgeous little spot featuring tons and tons of greenery (and rosé!) I really recommend stopping in if you're ever in Brooklyn, as it's one of the main reasons I'll be going back. Tons of vintage shops right across the street, which could make for a pretty fun afternoon. But we were there to see Bowie, so I'll have to go back soon for shopping.

On bottom, I kept things simple with my basics: American Eagle dark wash denim, Chinese Laundry black over-the-knee boots — I just ordered these in taupe to wear with little spring dresses!—and of course, my Gucci belt. I not-so-secretly want to invest in the baby pink version of this so I can stop wearing it on the daily, but I'm not sure if the trend is on it's way out. For me, it's just the only belt I have in the city, so it's become a must, regardless of trends!

The bag, as always, is Pop and Suki—the white is my newest purchase, and believe me, I'm OBSESSED. I can't wait to style this all summer long, and I'm so impressed with how easy to clean the pebbled leather is. I've always recommended the baby pink as a must-have first for P&S-lovers, but now I'd definitely say the white is the best bag to start your collection.

Hope you guys enjoyed this little OOTD as much as I enjoyed the David Bowie exhibit! I had a great day, and I'll be back in Brooklyn soon, no doubt.
